Caribbean Star Airlines introduced itself as the most favorite airline company of the Caribbean region.
Caribbean Star Airlines appeared as one of those newly established airline companies of the world which have made their mark with a very short span of time. Caribbean Star Airlines came into being in 2000, and was able to develop its fame as one of the reliable airline companies. Though it remained an international airline company yet it mostly operated in the Caribbean region. The network of the destinations of Caribbean Star Airlines included sixteen international airports. The main destinations in the network of Caribbean Star Airlines were St Kitts, St Lucia, and St Vincent, British Virgin Islands, Dominica, Guyana, Grenada, Netherlands Antilles, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago. Since its inception, Caribbean Star Airlines’ headquarter had been situated in Antigua, while the main airport of the airline is Grantley Adams International Airport.
Caribbean Star Airlines also operated with its sister concern Caribbean Sun Airlines for the same network of destinations. The ownership of Caribbean Sun Airlines was with the same authorities as that of with Caribbean Star Airlines. The parent company for both the airline is known as Caribbean Star Airlines Limited. Among the owners of the airline, Allen Stanford is the most known personality as the founder of the company. He represents Caribbean Star Airlines and occupies larger share of the company’s assets. After a period of almost seven years, the airline declared an intended merger with LIAT and stopped independent flight operations under the name of Caribbean Star Airlines. The next proposed venture would be launched under the brand name "The Star of the Caribbean".
In contrast with the other international airline companies of the world, Caribbean Star Airlines did not occupy big planes with too many passenger seats. Being an airline company of the smaller scale, the number of planes with the Caribbean Star Airlines remained only eleven. The airline had models of Dash-8 300 and 100 series turboprop aircrafts in its fleet that did not have much capacity to carry too many passengers onboard. Thus the Caribbean Star Airlines carried 30 to 50 people only in its different planes. The flights with such a small number of people may be unusual with many of the international airline companies but it is quite normal as compared to the air journey tendency in the region. Though Caribbean Star Airlines worked on the very small scale yet it excelled in customers’ service to many of the well-known and broad-structured airline companies of the world.
